Comparing GTCC: Summer Showdown and September Arena

For 2025, the GameZone Tablegame Champions Cup (GTCC) gave birth to two separate tournaments that elevated competitive Tongits in the Philippines. 

The first one is the Summer Showdown from last June, and the September Arena next month is set to carry on the torch of the previous tournament with even more intense competition.

What makes the GTCC Tongits tournament prestigious and grand is its prizes.

For the upcoming September Arena, GameZone, the organizer of the tournament, set a whopping Php 10 million prize pool.

The bulk of this astounding amount goes to the finalists, with the eventual king of the tournament receiving Php 5 million.

Meanwhile, Php 1 million and Php 500,000 were granted to the second and third placers.

Similarly, the recent GTCC: Summer Showdown also has the same prize pool and grand prize.

However, they differ on the third placer’s reward, as it was lower with a Php 488,000 reward.

In comparison to the newer tournament iteration, the Tongits Champion Cup prize pool was notched below with a Php 1 million prize pool.

A third of the prize pool went to the champion’s hands, while Php 100,000 and Php 60,000 were received by the top two and three.

The Summer Showdown remained supreme in this aspect, as it accommodated 93 Tongits players from diverse backgrounds.

It will open the competition with 36 aspirants vying for the title. 

Lastly, the crown for the Tongits Champions Cup was contested by 27 participants.

The Qualifiers for GTCC Philippines

Now, touching the qualification stage of the tournament, the three all followed the same structure.

The Tongits Free Multi-Table Tournament, which is an online daily Tongits tournament by GameZone, serves as the breaking ground for your GTCC tournament chances.

Each tournament set a particular timeline consisting of multiple weeks to a month in Tongits MTT, wherein players included in the leaderboard received tickets. 

This ticket is valuable, as it provides aspirants with a pass to the online finals.

Player eligibility in the Tongits tournament

Similar to the qualifiers, the set player eligibility rules matched the three tournaments.

For the age, only players 21 years old and up are allowed to enter.
