GameZone Intensifies the Heat of the Dry Season with GTCC: Summer Showdown

The summer season is about to reach its boiling point with GameZone’s latest Tongits tournament offering the GTCC: Summer Showdown.

From June 24 to 28, 135 outstanding Tongits players from all across the country will battle it out and provide Tongits fans with the best showcase of card game mastery.

Awaiting the participants is a bountiful prize pool of the GameZone Tablegame Champions Cup worth ₱10,000,000.

How to be part of the GTCC

Booking your seat for a shot at Tongits glory and a share of lavish rewards is simple and thrilling with GameZone’s official platform.

To begin your journey, head to the GameZone casino website at gzone.ph, where the action is already underway.

Navigate to the Tongits page and register to participate in the highly anticipated Tongits Multi-Table Tournament. 

Play from April 25 to May 16.

This tournament is open to all registered GameZone players.

Making it accessible whether you’re a seasoned Tongits master or a passionate newcomer eager to prove your skills.

Once registered, you’ll receive free chips to use in the tournament, giving everyone a fair shot at climbing the leaderboard.

The competition is fierce, as players from across the country battle it out in daily events, each offering a chance to earn cash prizes and leaderboard points.

Tournament Format

The official GTCC tournament starts with 135 participants being divided into three 45-member groups—A, B, and C.

They will play in an elimination round consisting of three 20-round games.

After this, 84 names remain and advance to the promotional round. 

Two phases will compose the promotional round.

The remaining players will be assigned to 28 groups to complete the first phase.

Then, the second phase kicks off. 

The top 30 participants are determined to compete in the upper bracket.

Meanwhile, the remaining 54 will be relegated to the lower bracket.

Only 9 players will advance to the semifinals. 

The tournament names 5 from the upper bracket and pick 4 from the lower bracket.

Welcoming the semifinalists is a grueling 60-round phase that determines the final 3.

The Finals features an extra 40 rounds compared to the Semis.

Upping the total to 100 in order to filter and determine the deserving Tongits champion. 

They will eventually claim a staggering grand prize of ₱5,000,000.

But the second and third placers’ efforts will not go to naught, as they will also receive ₱1,000,000 and ₱488,000, respectively.
